We are a Djibouti headquartered shipping agency with operational headquarter in Dubai, UAE. We have offices in Somaliland and Somalia as well. Our activities include Ship Agency, Container Handling, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, Transportation and various other marine related activities. Our group is also involved in substantial trading activities in Africa and GCC and trade in Foodstuff and Building Materials. Being the link between shipowners, charterers and stevedores, our agency department is taking care of a wide variety of ships and cargoes. Our biggest strength is the individual care to each ship which we attend to. No efforts are spared to follow up and secure the execution of each order in a quick and economic way. Apart from the numerous dry cargo and tanker vessels cleared by our agency department, various owners appoint us as their husbandry/protecting agent in Somaliland , Somalia and Djiboutil. For Foreign companies operating temporarily in the area, we can offer supply of personnel, rendering office facilities and housing as well. We would be glad to act as your shipping agent too and enjoy assisting you in all matters concerned. IMSS was established in 1994 by Mr Djama Omar with its first office in Berbera, Somaliland Today, more than 19 years later, the one-time pioneer has turned into a well established company, representing a first class shipping line “P.I.L” (Pacific International Line) which is ranked 18 amongst the world container carriers. IMSS also represent Hellmann World Logistics, the 143 year old German logistics company in Djibouti, Somaliland and Somalia. UNDERTAKING

A fully inter-active and around-the-clock service wherever necessary.
Ensure that maximum effort is made to give the ship the quickest turn-around with minimum costs.
Except where otherwise agreed, our agency fee shall be a reasonable, ‘ALL-IN’ amount with no hidden charges or extras.
Port expenses and other approved extraordinary items shall be invoiced at costs, duly supported by vouchers.
We shall keep a strict accounting discipline and a full refund of any balance will be made in good time.
The company’s officers and managers have extensive knowledge and experience in the shipping sector and in commodity trading, and are in the process of implementing a unique and innovative business strategy for the company. The result is that IMSS has been growing very rapidly, and is strongly committed to further expansion. Although shipping is in many ways a traditional business, IMSS recognizes that it nevertheless offers some fascinating challenges and opportunities in the years ahead, which, as is already being shown, can be the basis for a very solid and profitable business.
